Ruvheneko’s work in the media and online has gained her recognition on International platforms resulting in her being the first Zimbabwean panelist on BBC’s “The She World”.
Ruvheneko is a Zimbabwean broadcast journalist who started her career at UCT Radio while she was a student at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, studying a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Writing and Political Science. Ruvheneko furthered her studies at the University of Zimbabwe completing a Master of Science in International Relations. Ruvheneko is a Graca Machel Fellow, as a member of the Grace Machel Women in Media Network based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ruvheneko is the founder of Neko Incorporated, which created the online talk show, “Ruvheneko.” Having spent four years at ZiFM Stereo under AB Communications; and one year at Capitalk 100.4 FM as well as Star FM under Zimpapers, Ruvheneko’s talk show “Ruvheneko” became one of the topmost listened to radio shows in Zimbabwe, according to the Zimbabwe All Media Products Survey (ZAMPS) in 2017 and 2018. Her shows covered the topics of politics, business, health, and youth. Ruvheneko’s experience in radio extends off air from Programming Manager (ZiFM Stereo) to Projects Manager (Zimpapers Radio Division). Ruvheneko moderates various panel discussions worldwide, such as working with German media giant Deutsche Welle in Bonn.
Ruvheneko is also a Director of Ceremonies for corporate and government events.
Ruvheneko on the International Stage

As a member of the Graca Machel Trust, Women in Media Network, Ruvheneko has moderated Panel discussions at WITS University hosted by the Mandela Institute of Development Studies. Ruvheneko recently held interviews at the African Development Bank AGM 2019 in Equatorial Guinea. Her online news platform “R-News” saw her being invited to Rwanda as an international influencer where she interviewed Rwanda’s president, Paul Kagame.

Ruvheneko is a brand ambassador for some of Zimbabwe’s leading brands; TelOne, Zimplats, Optinova and Hammer and Tongues. Billboards, TV commercials and social media campaigns use her voice and likeness countrywide.
Ruvheneko’s social media following finds corporates and individuals seeking her services in the form of posts, research or dialogue. As one of the handfuls of verified Twitter users, Ruvheneko’s Twitter following falls in the top 5 of all accounts in Zimbabwe. An active website and engaging social media accounts keep Ruvheneko setting trends and holding relevant conversations at any given time. Ruvheneko also does PR Consulting for government and corporates, which often includes media training for executives and sales and marketing teams.
